While Teaching - Avoid These

After looking at the Governing Ourselves section in the June 2015 Professionally Speaking magazine I have learned that we as teachers need to ensure we avoid the following behaviours:

avoid texting students or communicating with them online or after school if the matters are not about school and we do not have parents permission

classroom management - avoid yelling or touching students or letting them be in the hallway unsupervised. When students are being disrupting or harmful to others we need to take appropriate action and report it to admin asap.

Avoid personal relationships with the students that go beyond the classroom and involve social media or texting, cellphone communication.

Ensure you have proper ratio of supervision if taking students on trips and ensure they are supervised and can reach you if they need help.
